Introduction
DUHAMIC-ADRI implements a wide range of strategies, programs and initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Health Education Programs: DUHAMIC-ADRI works with different partners to provide information and resources that promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles through campaigns, workshops, seminars, classes, and educational materials mainly on HIV prevention.

Nutrition Programs: DUHAMIC-ADRI envisages a country where every child is well-nourished and free from stunting. DUHAMIC-ADRI believes that good nutrition is the foundation for health and essential to the development and economic growth of the family members.

For many years,DUHAMIC-ADRI worked with different Development Partners to implement Health and Nutrition Projects, to prevent disease and increase access to quality health care services.

KUNGAHARA (Resilient Food Systems and Improved Food and Nutrition Security) Project
KUNGAHARA is a three-year (2024 - 2026), implemented in partnership with CARE Rwanda in Gakenke, Gicumbi and Rulindo Districts.
It is co-funded by the European Union, Care Austria and the Austrian Development Cooperation. The project promotes equitable, sustainable, inclusive, productive and nutrition sensitive agricultural value chains through the use of climate-smart agriculture techniques. It also aims to enhance the consumption of diverse and nutrient-rich foods by vulnerable households, in particular women and children.

ODA: IGIRE JYAMBERE ACTIVITY
From 10th August 2022, DUHAMIC-ADRI implemented the USAID-IGIRE JYAMBERE Activity/ODA: The Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC)-Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe (DREAMS) project, with funding from USAID/PEPFAR. The main objective of this program was to prevent new HIV infections and reduce vulnerability among (OVC) and their households, and Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in high HIV burden Districts in Rwanda. The project was implemented in Nyarugenge and Muhanga Districts and aimed at reaching 40,000 OVC and 17,000 AGYW.

GIKURIRO KURI BOSE INECD
Gikuriro Kuri Bose-INECD is a 6-year ( 2021-2026) funded by CRS Rwanda and implemented by DUHAMIC-ADRI in Nyanza and Nyamasheke districts.
The project focuses on the 1,000-day window, strengthen inclusion of 72,000 children and 82,000 adults including persons with disabilities, and improve positive parenting and child development.

Integrated Nutrition and WASH activity
DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with CRS and SNV funded by USAID implemented the Five years project “Integrated Nutrition and WASH activity” locally known as GIKURIRO Program in all 10 sectors of Kicukiro districts.
Target population(s): 37,000 vulnerable households with malnourished children and those in families living conditions exposed children to malnutrition.
