Henri Serge Atsomautsy, Deputy Representative visited DUHAMIC-ADRI in Gatsibo District

On 13 February 2026 DUHAMIC-ADRI , through the Climate-Smart Agriculture and Market Development Project focusing on livelihood economic development in Gatsibo District, hosted a delegation from UNHCR led by Henri Serge Atsomautsy, Deputy Representative, and Idil Tugrul, HR Officer of UNHCR Kigali.

The delegation visited the developed irrigation infrastructure and the constructed maize drying shed for CODIGA Cooperative members composed of refugees and host community. They also witnessed the starting of maize harvesting in Nyabicwamba Marshland on 23 hectares. This project is funded by the Government of Denmark

 and implemented by UNHCR in Rwanda  in partnership with DUHAMIC-ADRI  and

Ministry in Charge of Emergency Management.
