USAID TWIYUBAKE
DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with Global Communities was successfully implemented the Improved Services for Vulnerable Populations (ISVP) project, known locally as USAID Twiyubake, aims to improve the health, nutrition, and well-being of the populations on which the project focuses—orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), people living with HIV/AIDS, and economically vulnerable families—by strengthening their capacity in those domains.
Project Goal
To identify and assist 50,000 vulnerable households by reducing economic vulnerability and empowering parents to make investments to meet the unique needs of young children and adolescents. Target population(s): 4,005 vulnerable households in Huye and 8,187 Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYWs) in Nyarugenge districts.

Key Achievements
- The percentage of households able to meet basic needs increased significantly, from 54.7 to 62.3%;
- The percentage of households owning livestock increased significantly from 58.0 to 66.9 percent
- The percentage of youth reporting new employment increased from 0.3 to 2.1 %
4,004 Vulnerable households for with majority women were trained on GALS methodology
- 6,500 youth received school materials; 500 youth who dropped out return back to school,
- 810 youth attended the TVET and linked to job and received start up tool kits and mentorship;
- 8,187 AGYWs girls equipped SRHR sessions
- 20 girls’ rooms in 12YBE schools were equipped
- Support access to 32 Community Based ECD and 98 Home-based ECD are functional with 2660 children;
