DUHAMIC-ADRI and IOM conducted a campain in Janja Sector

On Thursday, 4th June 2026, at Biziba Market in Janja Sector, Gakenke District DUHAMIC-ADRI and IOM Rwanda organized a community outreach campaign on "Enhancing Adaptation and Mitigation Capacities to Climate Change and Extreme Weather Events in Rwanda."

The campaign brought together communities in Janja and sorrounding Sectors and some of participants, who well responded questions related to climate resilience were awarded with clean cooking stoves with peletes as startup kits for using clean cooking energies and business people were mobilised to start selling clean cooking within their communities.

The project is implemented by DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with IOM Rwanda and REMA with funds from the Government of Japan.
