Community members in Rulindo District are celebrating the positive impact of the Improved Natural Resources Management for Sustainable Food Sources (INRM) Project.

The project has supported environmental protection and restoration through establishment of community tree nurseries, tree planting, composting, anti-erosion ditches, improved cookstoves and water harvesting techniques.

It has also enhanced food security through the establishment of kitchen gardens, small livestock rearing and the introduction of orange-fleshed sweet potatoes that have become symbolic in the community. INRM Project is implemented by DuhamicDuhamic1 in partnership with Trocaire with funds from Irish Aid Program.
