Climate Just Community (CJC)
The Project is implemented by DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with TROCAIRE with the fund from Scottish Government
The purposes of the CJC Program is to implement effective climate justice interventions focusing on community voice and needs, prioritizing marginalized communities, women, and people with disabilities, and considering the Scottish Government’s pillars of climate justice. In line with this purpose, Trōcaire (Principle Sub-Contractor) works together with local delivery partners including DUHAMIC-ADRI.
The Project is working in Gisagara and Ngororero Districts
The Project is running from 1 August 2023 and will run until March 2025

Rain Water Harvesting
The project was implemented by DUHAMIC-ADRI in Musambira sector of Kamonyi District. wif funds from TROCAIRE to support those 53 households in installation of rainwater harvesting tanks, kitchen gardens installation and training on tanks maintenance in a period of two months ended in February 2021.
The availability of vegetables increased by the good production performed in dry season the improved nutrition status among vulnerable population.

Emergency response
This project aimed to respond to emergency for people affected with flooding resulted from heavy rain caused a lot of damage including landslides and flooded fields and homes
